4. Title: Exponential and algebraic decay in Euler—Alignment system with nonlocal interaction forces

5. Abstract:

In this talk, I will discuss the long-time behavior of interacting particle systems modeled by the pressureless Euler equations with alignment and interaction forces. The density converges to the minimizer of the interaction energy, while the velocity aligns to a uniform constant. A unifying feature is that the convergence rate depends only on the local behavior of communication weights: bounded kernels yield fast, exponential convergence, while weakly singular ones produce slower, algebraic rates. This talk is based on ongoing joint work with J.A. Carrillo (University of Oxford), Y.-P. Choi (Yonsei University), and O. Tse (Eindhoven University of Technology).
